Dotfuscator Dramatically Increases Application Surface Protection with Support for Rich User Experience Applications Based on XAML and the .NET Framework
PreEmptive Solutions Extends Dotfuscator to Include XAML and BAML Protection for Microsoft Silverlight and Windows Presentation Foundation Applications
CLEVELAND, OH, May 10, 2010 – PreEmptive Solutions, a leading provider of solutions to measure, manage, and protect applications, announced today that Dotfuscator 4.7 includes the ability to rename Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Microsoft Silverlight applications including any associated XAML and Binary XAML (BAML) resources. Developers working with WPF and Silverlight now no longer need to spend time excluding names referenced in their XAML and, for the first time, their XAML and BAML resources are protected as well.
Benchmarks measuring increased surface protection demonstrated the following dramatic results across a variety of real-world applications:
- Medical imaging – increased protected surface from 27% to 100% coverage.
- Measuring device – increased protected surface from 26% to 78% coverage.
- Software development tool – increased protected surface from 61% to 100% coverage.
